The Pain of Glory
There once was a man
who lived the good life
He had no one to speak to,
not even a wife
He basked in his glory
He fed off of pain
No one could love him,
for he was too vain
Selfish by nature,
his heart was so cold
His true love was money
until he grew old
He had spent his life lonely,
but too proud to care
Bitter and vile,
he was so unaware
Why was he like this?
Why so unkind?
Is it that easy
to be so blind?
So don't live this way,
when you can be giving
Be a good person
while you are still living.
